cleaning

today is the day that i went through all the miscellaneous CRAP that is in my office. most notably, the desk drawers.

oh. my.

this is only a brief list of discoveries:

- eight different post-it flag incarnations
- three white-out correcting tape contraptions
- two letter openers
- twenty-one mechanical pencils
- four regular pencils
- four colored pencils [yellow, blue, red, and green]
- thirty-four various pens
- innumerable paper clips
- even more rubber bands
- eleven highlighters
- seventeen official-looking, but mysterious, keys

and various and sundry other office supplies too numerous to mention here. this is not counting the indiscriminate tub-o'-writing-utensils on my desk.

i'm feeling much better about my desk space. before, i felt like i had to wash every time i grabbed something from a previously unexplored portion of the office. now, it's only about every other time.

next stop: ordering stacking trays to resolve the heinousness of The One Tray Inbox. how people handle one big steadily growing heap of "horizontal filing" is beyond me.

yup... previous occupant. it took me longer to go through all that stuff than it did for me to clean out my old office.

it was not only tedious, but since the previous occupant had been killed in a motorcycle accident, it was also sortof creepy. eeeee.

post-it flags?! I LOVE post-it flags. plus, they're recyclable.

okay. so this weekend i went to a former coworker's b-day at a bar. i was a little wary because he'd made overtures of wanting to get together one-on-one (because even though he had nothing interesting to say, he was sure that i did). i got to the bar around 9:30 & chatted until my friend h arrived an hour later. somehow mentioned something on my blog & he says that he's seen it. he fr*ggn' googled me (& anyone who's seen my blog knows that my full name is nowhere on it, so he had to go out of his way to find it). freaky!

i realize that about the censoring, but i was fondly recalling the b-board & since it's not working...

;)

(and since there's no censoring, last november he was asking about my sex life with a. *shock*)
