conceptions

kt: i wonder if immaculate conception is covered under maternity policy insurance?

me: nah... i'm thinking that would fall under "acts of God".

what if Jesus were born today? the insurance nightmares would be horrendous.

You're assuming, of course, that Jesus would be born to a woman who had health insurance. I'm guessing that she would not. Besides, insurance companies don't care who got the woman pregnant.

are you sure they don't care? 'cause my old college roomie's insurance doesn't pay for her birth control since she's not married.
meh.

Maybe you had to be there. I think in the context of the ridiculousness of health insurance it was funny.

Perhaps in the context of considering if Jesus were actually born in the present day... not so funny.

... plus we all know insurance companies don't want to pay for anything they can get out of... so I imagine they would love to claim "act of God."

... of course they would be making a pretty strong spiritual statement there as well.

Wha?

Is it the insurance company's job to pay for your healthcare expenses? Or to be the morality police?
